Installation Guides
Every camera, DVR and NVR we ship ships with a printed quick-start guide in the box. As a general starting point before it arrives, here's the order most self-installations follow:
- Plan your camera positions β prioritize entry points, the compound gate and any area with valuables, and check each spot has a route back to where the DVR/NVR will sit.
- Run cabling first β for wired setups, complete all cable runs before mounting any camera, and leave a little slack at both ends.
- Mount and connect β fix the camera bracket, connect video/power, and confirm a clean picture on a monitor before sealing any junction boxes.
- Set up the DVR/NVR β configure recording schedules, set a secure password, and format the hard disk if it's a fresh unit.
- Pair the mobile app β most CP Plus, Hikvision and Dahua devices support a QR-code pairing step for remote viewing.
